Description:
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Baylor University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2025. We seek candidates with research interests in any area of applied mathematics. Potential for obtaining external funding is expected. In addition to developing a leading research program, the successful candidate is expected to pursue excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervise student research. We seek a collegial faculty member who will contribute positively to the department's culture of outstanding research, innovative teaching, and dedicated service to our undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in mathematics or a related discipline by the time of the appointment. Candidates should have a sustained record of research excellence and demonstrate the potential for continuing research productivity in applied mathematics. Successful candidates will have the ability and interest to teach undergraduate and graduate students, provide research mentorship to students in our doctoral program, and will be expected to pursue external funding to support their program of research.
