Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Mathematics, with about 70 full time faculty members, currently offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics as well as a minor in Mathematics. The College's Student Success Initiative has an imperative for including and fostering success for all students in STEM degree programs. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions as Lecturer of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics with a preferred start date of August 2025. These are nine-month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the university, department and/or discipline is expected of all non-tenure track faculty. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The standard teaching load for a lecturer is 27 credit hours per academic year.
A strong commitment to excellence in teaching mathematics courses ranging from general education courses to more advanced mathematics courses (depending on qualifications).
A strong commitment to student success among the college's disciplines and be ready to invest deeply in KSU students.
Service to the department or institution is also required.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

An earned Doctorate or Master's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in mathematics from an accredited university is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level.
Experience in implementing active learning methods that facilitate meaningful engagement with students.
Experience teaching courses such as college algebra, precalculus, and calculus.
Evidence of commitment to student success.
