Applications are invited for one non-tenure-track full-time Lecturer position in the Department of Mathematics (position numbers 00053035) to begin in the Fall semester of 2025.
The SMU Department of Mathematics offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in Mathematics, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computational and Applied Mathematics. The department is currently comprised of 20 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, one Senior Lecturers, two Lecturers, and three Adjunct Professors. Qualifications:
Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field by the time of appointment, although exceptional candidates with an M.S. will be considered. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching and education. The expected teaching load will be seven courses per year (Fall and Spring semesters) in a range of undergraduate math courses
